Her smile says it all – Alisha loves coming to CLC! Alisha, who lives here in West Michigan, started in our Early Childhood Program in the fall of 2011 and has been attending conductive education programming at CLC ever since. She has blossomed into a confident 16 year old with an infectious laugh, and her love for learning new skills is inspiring to all who see her work in the classroom.

During the mandated school closures in the spring, Alisha started participating in CLC’s virtual support sessions which she continued during our five-week summer session. She and her family enjoyed the opportunity to have CLC conductor-teachers virtually “visit” at home to share customized activities that would support and extend her learning. She was especially excited to work with her teachers to find ways to develop her balance and stability in sitting position. While she enjoyed these online sessions, Alisha was thrilled to start back in-person at CLC in September, and we feel so fortunate to continue to be a part of her educational journey.
